AGPS 2025 Abstract Submission Guidelines
- Candidates are invited to submit an abstract for an e-poster presentation by 7th September 2025. Abstracts maybe submitted via the Abstract Submission Portal.
Format requirements for abstracts and posters are outlined below.
- Abstracts will be reviewed by the AGPS education subcommittee. Candidates will be notified of the outcome by 4 weeks after abstract submission closing date.Successful candidates will be invited to submit an E-poster to be made available for viewing on the AGPS website throughout the Annual Scientific Meeting.
E-posters are to be submitted via the Abstract Submission Portal by the 26th October 2025.Authors of abstracts of high calibre may also be invited to present an oral presentation with PowerPoint slides during the Annual Scientific Meeting (in addition to an E-Poster). The outcome email will specify the presentation date and time.
- E-Posters will be assessed on scientific merit, potential clinical value, originality and presentation by the AGPS education subcommittee. A prize will be awarded to the highest scoring poster, and commendations will also be made.
Participation Certificates will be emailed to the main author after the meeting.
Application criteria
Candidates must be an anatomical pathology trainee. At least one author must be registered to attend the AGPS 2025 Annual Scientific Meeting. Abstracts without a registration payment will result in the abstract being withdrawn.
Abstract and poster format requirements
- The abstract format requirements will be as follows.
Any topic relevant to gastrointestinal pathology. Only original scientific material which has not been previously published or presented at a conference may be submitted. - Submitted as a Word or pdf document including title, author(s), organisations/affiliations, and abstract body using the following headings
- For original research: background, aims, methods, results, discussion, conclusion
- For case reports: background, case report, discussion, conclusion
- Word limit of 500 and not more than 10 references (title, authors, affiliations, references are not included in the word limit).
E-Poster format requirements will be as follows:
- PDF file only
- Portrait orientation
- 1 page only
- Maximum file size shall not exceed 5mb
- Minimum recommended resolution should be 1080 x 1920 9w:16h Aspect Ratio
- Note: Avoid grey backgrounds as they appear hard to read on screen
